The wastewater / biosolids industry are way behind the times with regards to PFAS and other so-called Contaminants of Emerging Concern (2018 was very late), essentially hiding behind the lack of modern regulation. As far as biosolids are concerned, the best solution is one of the simplest -- use composting toilets so that the biological solids aren't mixed with contaminated wastewater. Of course, not a great political slogan. Entropy isn't our friend. Yes, ultimately source control is key, but these industries are responsible for the point sources of contamination now. We need to pressure them directly so that they will pressure their waste clients.

This is also a concern for (drinking) water treatment plants as well. Likely our 'sludge' contains some PFAS if our source water does. So we might be faced with BOTH drinling MCL issues AND sludge disposal issues.

I always wondered what they do with my blood every time I go for blood work (6tubes) wish they could give me a full report on what my blood contains. Also, always so challenging to read all those medical terminology/codes. Who knows what they mean. 🤔

It’s nice to see that the county is at least trying to come up with better public transportation. I’d really like to see a light rail network connecting Clearwater, Dunedin, Safety Harbor, St. Pete, and Tampa together. I know they had a failed vote in 2014 because it would have increased local sales tax, but they really need to find a way to make it happen. We need light rail to finally connect the bay area’s cities.

Range anxiety is one of the primary factors that limits any purchase of EVs, regardless of brand. Addressing the differing standards in charging interfaces may help in the short term regarding better access to EV charging stations, however I believe that EV manufacturers and electrical suppliers need to look at another option which eliminates a physical charging interface altogether. Just as some cell phones and other electrical devices can be charged/powered using induction coils, surely that technology can be adapted to work somehow with EVs. Burying coils under pavement in parking lots, or even in some roadways could provide a useful alternative to specific park-and-charge locations that will likely get overwhelmed with visitors as EVs become more prevalent. Would you consider this a viable alternative, power/charging method or would it be impossible to adapt such technology to EVs?

This is one time that I agree with the EPA. The solution to all drinking water issues is to have all changes to source water, chemicals and materials of construction evaluated by technically qualified and experienced consultants with backgrounds in water chemistry, microbiology and material sciences, not politicians. Too many small and large municipal and or private company owned drinking water providers do not have the technical expertise and their organizations usually are too often made up of political appointees or technicians whose allegiances are to local politicians. This is simply a fact of life. In America we have the expertise to avoid the disasters of the past so let's not forget or repeat the lessons learned.
